Why School Holiday Camps Matter for Families in North Ryde

School holidays are a reset. For kids, it is a chance to move, build confidence, and make new friends. For parents, it can be a juggling act.

A well-run holiday camp helps by giving your child:

✔ Structured activity across the day — not just free play

✔ Skill-building through games that match their age and level

✔ Consistency with a group, so they can settle in and progress

What makes our camp different is the range. Rather than a single sport across the week, our camp gives children the chance to try Tennis, Basketball, Padel, Pickleball, and Soccer — all in the one place.

Whether your child has a clear favourite or hasn’t found their sport yet, there is something every day to keep them engaged.

Ryde Multisport and Racquet Centre is part of the Ryde Multisport & Racquet Centre — a dedicated multi-sport facility running programs across tennis, pickleball, basketball, padel, and more, seven days a week.

Our Camp Approach

We keep camp practical, energetic, and structured so kids stay engaged.

We start camp by getting kids comfortable, then grouping them with peers so they can progress together. Staying with the same group builds confidence and momentum across the week.

Camp opens with tennis — the foundation of what we do. Coaches use modified equipment and age-appropriate methods so children at every level can take part and improve from the very first session.

As the morning progresses, we move into point play, games, and match play so children learn how to use their tennis skills in real situations — not just in drills.

Kids get regular breaks including recess and lunch, plus drink intervals throughout the day to stay hydrated.

The afternoon is where the full multi-sport experience comes in. Children rotate through Soccer, Basketball, Padel, and Pickleball — activities designed to keep energy high, build different movement skills, and let kids discover what they enjoy most.

Each camp week wraps up with a celebration for all participants.
