What is Hot Shots Tennis?
Hot Shots is Tennis Australia’s official kids tennis program, using modified courts, age-appropriate racquets, and lower-bouncing balls so children can play and rally from their very first lesson. Structured into clear stages, early levels build coordination and confidence while later stages introduce rally consistency, match play tactics, and competition preparation — with children progressing at their own pace each term.
The program at Tennis World North Ryde welcomes children aged 3 to 12 of all ability levels. No prior experience is needed — coaches assess each child at enrolment and place them in the right stage from day one. Tennis World North Ryde is part of the Ryde Multisport & Racquet Centre, managed by Sydney Sports Management Group (SSMG), with over 30 years of experience and direct affiliations with Tennis Australia and Tennis NSW.
What Our Players Say:
Tennis is better when it’s shared. Here’s what the North Ryde community has to say about their experience on and off the court.
Finding a consistent, well-run activity for your child in the Ryde area takes some research. Here’s what makes Tennis World North Ryde a practical choice: Hot Shots follows the official Tennis Australia pathway, so the curriculum, equipment, and teaching approach meet a consistent national standard — and your child’s stage is recognised wherever they play next. The facility is purpose-built, open seven days until 10:30pm, and sits within the Ryde Multisport & Racquet Centre alongside Pickleball, Basketball, Padel, and more. Each Hot Shots stage has a defined developmental focus, from Kinder through to Super Squad, with coaches recommending advancement when the time is right.
NSW families can also use a $50 Active Kids Voucher toward enrolment. Email your voucher to us before registering and we’ll apply the discount.
The Hot Shots Stages In North Ryde
Hot Shots is not a single group lesson format. Children are separated into stages so that coaching can focus on skills appropriate to their level.
As children move through stages, they gradually build the ability to rally, move on court, and eventually play full matches.
